Anisole is an aromatic ether with the formula C₇H₈O, appearing as a clear, colourless liquid with a
characteristic odor.
Applications: Anisole is used as an intermediate in the manufacture of fragrances, perfumery chemicals,
pharmaceutical, and agrochemical products. It is also an important intermediate forthe synthesis of specialty and
fine chemicals. Additionally, anisole is used as an industrial solvent in coatings, adhesives, and chemical processing
applications.
